Our Story: Born of Salt, Spirit & Storm

In a world where surf meets sky, our passion was born. We are surfers, divers and ocean lovers whose hearts thumped in rhythm with the ocean’s pulse. Morning paddles, salty skin, and the ethereal beauty beneath the waves, this is our sanctuary.

But during a journey to Indonesia, that sanctuary became a call to action.

We arrived on Bali’s shores, ready for warmth and wonder, but what we found shook us to our core. Beaches were strewn with plastic cups, tangled nets, fallen straws, a mess buried deep in the sand and washed in by monsoons. 

We dove into crystal waters to see bleached coral gardens, once teeming with color and life, now ghostly white, bereaved villages of marine ecosystems. In Bali’s reefs near Bondalem, nearly 90% of corals were bleached in 2023, victims of rising sea temperatures and an unrelenting El Niño. Across Indonesia, nearly all coastal reefs show signs of bleaching, under the strain of climate change  .

We saw firsthand how plastic isn’t just unsightly, it’s deadly. Coral touched by plastic had an 89% chance of disease, compared to 4% for untouched coral. Indonesia alone dumps over 1.2 million tons of plastic into the sea each year—second only to China  .

We felt grief, rage—and resolve.
